Working in the legal profession at a solicitor's firm for 22 years, allowed me to witness first hand, the devastating impact that government cuts to legal aid have had upon individuals and families. Costly solicitor fees and limited public funding have made access to justice increasingly difficult.
Legal First Aid has been operating since July 2018 and was created to give everyone the chance to access the legal system. My goal is to bridge the gap and assist those who would otherwise be left to navigate the legal system on their own.
My name is Caroline Edwards F.Inst.Pa. I am an enthusiastic and highly motivated family law paralegal with a wide range of skills and experience. I am registered on the Professional Paralegal Register and a Fellow Member of the Institute of Paralegals.
I am approachable and adaptable, with the ability to relate to people from a wide variety of backgrounds. I am passionate about helping people through their journey in family law enabling them to access justice. I offer solid support to you and your case.
I have also worked freelance at domestic violence centres for women and men offering free advice.
“A paralegal is a person qualified through education and training to perform substantive legal work that requires knowledge of the law and procedures but who is not a qualified solicitor, barrister or chartered legal executive.”
